Jury Fees: $25.00 for application in one category, $10.00 for each additional category. Fee must accompany slides and is non-refundable.

PARTICIPATION RULES
1. Artists wishing to enter more than one medium must submit separate applications, slides, and payment for each entry. If only one entry is accepted, work only in that medium may be exhibited.

2. Only artists accepted in the Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair will be allowed to participate. Spaces will be numbered and exhibitors must stay within the space allotted. Subletting, selling or giving space to anyone will not be permitted.

3. Only artists displaying their own original work may participate.

4. Artists must be present with their work for the entire day of the fair.

5. No booth or display may be dismantled or removed from its assigned space prior to 6:00 p.m. without the committee's permission.

6. No pets allowed.

7. No alcoholic beverages or drugs on the premises.

8. Artist may be required to present picture I.D. when registering.

9. Registration must be complete before setting up displays.

10. June 15:  Deadline to cancel and receive refund (less $25 administration fee)

The committee reserves the right to make a determination on any of the above rules. It also reserves the right to accept or decline any applicant as it deems necessary and may remove all or part of an exhibit that it deems in violation of the rules.

TO ENTER
1. Complete all parts of the application form and sign it.

2. Enclose a total of three quality slides (plus one booth slide) or digital images (see specifications below) for each category to be juried.

3. Enclose a check or money order for $25 (plus $10 for each additional category) non-refundable jury fee.

4. Enclose a separate check for the space fee. It will not be deposited until accepted.

DIGITAL IMAGES
Label a CD with your name and address and the medium in which you are entering your work. Include on that CD three images of your work and one image of your booth, fully stocked and as it will appear in the show. Images should be of jpeg format, 72 dpi, 1920 pixels by 1920 pixels with image size less than 1.8 MBs. Please label the image file as: last name, first name, image # (i.e. doejane01.jpeg, doejane02.jpeg, doejane03.jpeg, doejanebooth.jpeg. The CD must be included with your application. Do not attempt to email images or your application. These image specs are the same requirements as ZAPP.

DISPLAY
Work displayed at this show must be in the categories in which the artist was accepted. An artist cannot, for example, gain acceptance with decorative pottery and offer display boards of ceramic jewelry. All artists wishing to sell jewelry must also apply in the jewelry category. Neither can an artist be accepted for painting or drawing and offer the images in notepapers, calendars or other commercially produced forms.

The CWAF reserves the right to refuse exhibition of work that is not consistent with the artist's application for acceptance and submitted slides. Qualifiers will circulate at random during the show to ensure that all work shown is in compliance with these guidelines.

PRINTS
Only prints hand pulled, properly signed and numbered are permitted to be displayed on and in the booth. Commercial print multiples may be shown in only one flip bin, and ONLY if clearly identified as commercial prints.

NOTIFICATION
We expect to have notifications in the mail the first week of  May 2010. Your self-addressed, stamped envelope must have sufficient postage and be large enough to contain the materials you want returned. If no return envelope is included, slides will not be returned.

CANCELLATION
Because of the high demand for and limited availability of exhibit space in the Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair, cancellations are a serious matter and are discouraged. Fees are non-refundable after June 15, 2010 (a $25.00 administration fee will be deducted from all cancellations).

RAIN OR SHINE
The CWAF is a rain or shine event; plan accordingly. Only in the most extreme weather conditions clearly hazardous to artists and their artwork, patrons and staff will this event close down.

NOTE: Friday night registration and set-up available at your own risk between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. Area will be patrolled with walkie/talkie and cell phone linkage to police department. Saturday morning registration and set-up available after 6:00 a.m.
